Indian Army: Surprise, Speed and Shock! Indian Army’s new Bhairav Commando battalion will become a threat to the enemy.

Surprise, Speed and Shock, these three words are the identity of Bhairav Battalion, the newest and deadly unit of the Indian Army. This is such a commando force, which enters the enemy’s territory in the blink of an eye and attacks in such a way that the enemy does not even get a chance to recover. Be it eliminating infiltrators on the border or destroying terrorist launch pads and posts across the border. The new Bhairav commandos of the Indian Army are fully prepared for every mission.

This new battalion has been named after Kaal Bhairav, the most fierce form of Lord Shiva, just as Kaal Bhairav is considered the policeman and protector of the city of Mahakaal. Similarly, these commandos will also be the guards of the country’s borders. These Bhairav commandos of the army will prove to be a disaster for the enemy, who will root out every attempt of terrorism and infiltration.

Why was there a need for Bhairav battalion after Operation Sindoor?

After Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army felt the need for a unit that could penetrate deep into the enemy lines and take action. Terrorists could destroy the launch pad and forward post. Fill the strategic gap between conventional infantry and Para-SF. This need gave birth to Bhairav Battalion. A deadly link was formed between Infantry and Para-SF. Commanding Officer (CO) of Bhairav Battalion said that this unit will act as a strategic link between the lethal commandos of the infantry battalion and the Special Forces (Para-SF). Its objective is to make the army more lean, agile and lethal. This year, on Kargil Vijay Diwas, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi had announced the formation of a total of 25 Bhairav battalions. There will be about 250 specially trained commandos in each battalion.

Deployed from LOC to LAC, half a dozen battalions ready

One Bhairav battalion is being raised in every infantry regiment of the Indian Army. About two dozen Bhairav battalions will be prepared from LOC to LAC. Out of these, half a dozen battalions have already been prepared. These battalions are being deployed on the Pakistan and China border. One of these special Bhairav battalions will take part in the Army Day celebrations to be held in Jaipur on 15 January.

Symbol and mantra of Bhairav battalion

Bhairav is the symbol of the battalion. It has a dagger with a cobra wrapped around it. This is the snake around the neck of Lord Shiva, whose bite does not even ask for water. With this symbol it is written invisible and indomitable. This is the working style of these commandos. Attack without being seen and unshakable courage.

Special training in Rajasthan, practice on land like Pakistan

ABP News team captured the training of Bhairav Battalion in Rajasthan. Here the commandos were practicing attacking with light strike vehicles by entering the enemy lines in barren and rugged areas. This land of Rajasthan is like the border with Pakistan, hence it was chosen as the ideal training zone.

Bhairav battalion is equipped with light and small arms, which include AK-203 assault rifle, sniper rifle, grenade launcher, rocket launcher, LMG (Light Machine Gun). Their aim is to attack quickly.
