Raghuraj Singh, a minister of status in the Uttar Pradesh government, called Salman Khan a traitor and said that he supports Pakistan and Bangladesh. His statement led to a political uproar and Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav started attacking BJP. Meanwhile, Raghuraj Singh has clarified his statement and said that he was talking about Shahrukh Khan and not Salman Khan.

The political stir had intensified regarding Minister Raghuraj Singh’s statement related to Salman Khan. However, now he has retracted his own statement. He said that he said Salman Khan’s name by mistake, Salman is a good actor. Actually he was talking about Shahrukh Khan. Shahrukh Khan is a traitor.

While answering the questions of journalists on this whole controversy, Raghuraj Singh said, “I wanted to say this for Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan is a good actor, I had said for Shahrukh that whenever Pakistan faces trouble, he gives Rs 265 crore to it and talks like mob lynching in India.”

He said that similarly in Bangladesh, our Hindus are being killed, so Shahrukh Khan does not speak against it. So I took the name of Shahrukh Khan, by mistake the name became Salman Khan. There is no doubt that Shahrukh Khan is a traitor.
