Fans are eagerly waiting for Ranbir Kapoor’s film Ramayana. Ever since the announcement of the film, everyone is excited for its every update. Now if reports are to be believed, the makers of the film can release posters of the characters of the film on the occasion of Ram Navami (27 March). Although there has been no official announcement regarding this yet, this news is quite exciting for the fans.
Shooting and editing work continues
According to reports, the shooting of the first installment has ended and now the editing work is going on. In October 2025, news came that the makers were working on VFX. Complete preparation of the film will be done by summer 2026 so that it can be released on Diwali 2026. Now fans are eagerly waiting for the teaser and trailer of the film.
Star cast and their characters
In the film, Ranbir Kapoor is playing the role of Ram while Sai Pallavi is playing the role of Sita. Yash will play the role of Ravana while Sunny Deol will rock the screen as Hanuman. Apart from this, Ravi Dubey will be seen in the role of Laxman, Kajal Aggarwal Mandodari, and Rakul Preet Singh will be seen in the role of Shurpanakha. The film also includes other actors like Arun Govil, Kunal Kapoor and Indira Krishnan.
The film will be released in two parts
Ramayana, being directed by Nitesh Tiwari, will come in two parts. The first part will be released on Diwali 2026 while the second part will hit the big screens next year i.e. Diwali 2027. With the plan of two parts, the fans will get to see the full enjoyment of the story and the presence of the characters on screen will be even stronger.
Ranbir Kapoor’s other films
Talking about Ranbir, apart from Ramayana, he will also be seen in Love and War. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is directing it. The film also stars Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. This is the second film of Ranbir and Vicky, before this both of them had worked together in Sanju. This is also the second film with Alia, earlier both of them had worked together in Brahmastra.
