First marriage and film love story
In the year 1969, Kabir Bedi married model and Odissi dancer Protima Gupta. The love story of both was quite filmy. When the family did not approve of this relationship, both of them ran away from home and got married. From this marriage he had two children, Pooja Bedi and Siddharth Bedi. However, with time, tension increased in the relationship, but because of the children, both of them tried to maintain it and even decided to have an open marriage. Ultimately both of them got divorced in 1977.
Period of relationship with Parveen Babi
It was during his marriage with Protima that Kabir Bedi’s name got linked with actress Parveen Babi. London based social researcher Parveen Dusanjh came into Kabir Bedi’s life after three unsuccessful marriages. There was an age difference of about 30 years between the two, which was discussed a lot. This relationship did not get the support of Kabir’s daughter Pooja Bedi because Parveen was younger than her. Despite this, Kabir and Parveen openly accepted their relationship and started giving public appearances together.
Romantic proposal and 70th birthday wedding
