In this film, the fight between Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and Mughal emperor Aurangzeb was shown. There was a lot of controversy regarding this film but still people liked it very much. Now music composer AR Rahman has given a controversial statement regarding this film. After which he has come into the headlines.
AR Rahman had given the music of Chhaava which was very much liked. But he has surprised everyone by calling it a divisive film. He has said that the theme of the film is controversial but it shows more about bravery.
AR Rahman gave controversial statement
In an interview given to BBC Asian Network, AR Rahman said- ‘This is a divisive film. I think it took advantage of the divide, but I think its purpose was to show bravery. I had asked the director why he needed me for this film, but he said, ‘We just need you. It’s a funny movie, but people are definitely wiser than this. Do you think people will be influenced by the films? They have something called an inner voice, which knows what is truth and what is manipulation.
Rahman also praised the film for showing the story of a warrior. He said- ‘Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj is the most revered character, he is in the blood of every Maratha. When the movie ends, you see the girl reciting a beautiful poem. This is very emotional. It is a great honor for me to have got the opportunity to compose the music of this entire film, which has the heartbeat and soul of every Maratha.
