After the cold subsides in North India, now the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rain alert. Between January 22-25, an alert of heavy rain has been issued in 9 states including Uttar Pradesh and Himachal. Due to rain, there may be a drop in temperature in many states of North India.
Thunderstorm warning in 9 states
According to IMD, rain warning has been issued at different places in Haryana, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan from January 22 to 25. During this period, there is also an alert of strong wind blowing at a speed of 40 kilometers per hour. According to IMD, today (January 20) rains along with lightning are going to increase problems in Himachal Pradesh. Apart from this, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in Punjab during 22-25 January. There is a possibility of heavy rain and snowfall in Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh on 20th and 21st January.
Delhi weather
The temperature in Delhi today (January 20) will be up to 8 degrees in the morning, while good sunshine will be seen in the afternoon. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of light to moderate rain in the capital from Friday (January 23). Dense fog may be seen in the morning in the coming 3-4 days. For now there will be relief from the cold wave.
Rapidly changing weather in UP
The weather is changing rapidly in Uttar Pradesh. Cold wave and fog are ending now. There is less fog in Barabanki, Kanpur, Rae Bareli and its surrounding districts. However, light to moderate fog is currently occurring in rural areas. The day temperature is now above 20 degrees Celsius. With the weather clearing in Varanasi, the sun is shining during the day. There was fog in the morning in western UP but the fog cleared as the day progressed.
Different colors of weather were seen in the capital Lucknow on Monday. On Monday, the mercury increased by 5 degrees Celsius and reached 26.4 degrees. Due to the movement of clouds, the night temperature also rose to 11.6 degrees Celsius. Meteorologist Atul Singh said that there will be fog in the city on Tuesday morning and the weather will be clear during the day. Due to clouds and sporadic rains, the minimum temperature has increased by an average of 4-6 degrees Celsius.
How will the weather be in Bihar?
The weather pattern may change in Bihar adjacent to UP from January 20. According to IMD, apart from the capital Patna, a decrease of 1 to 2 degrees can be seen in the temperature of Gaya, Jehanabad, Buxar, Siwan, Bhojpur, Saran, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Saharsa, Purnia, Katihar and Araria. In the morning the wind will blow at a speed of 5 to 10 kilometers per hour.
