The National Testing Agency (NTA) has set some strict rules regarding the exam day, ignoring which you may not even get entry into the examination centre. Any kind of mistake in JEE Main 2026 exam can prove costly. Therefore, reach the examination center before time, keep all the necessary documents with you and follow the rules of NTA completely.
National Testing Agency has issued clear instructions regarding JEE Main 2026 exam. These rules will be applicable before the commencement of the examination and during the examination. The agency says that to maintain the fairness of the examination, any kind of negligence will not be tolerated.
It is important to reach the examination center on time
According to NTA, all the candidates will have to reach the examination center at least 2 hours before the commencement of the examination. Entry will not be granted if there is any delay due to traffic, bus or train delay. After the gate is closed, entry will not be allowed under any circumstances.
Those who come late will not get a chance
The agency has made it clear that no appeal or request will be accepted for the candidates arriving after the scheduled time. It will be entirely the responsibility of the candidate to reach the examination center on time.
It is necessary to have admit card and identity card
To enter the examination centre, candidates must have the printed admit card downloaded from the NTA website. Along with this, a valid photo identity card will also have to be shown. Without correct documents, you will not be allowed to take the exam.
Strict action may be taken on changing seat
Every candidate will be allotted a seat as per roll number. If a student sits somewhere other than his/her assigned seat, it will be considered as Unfair Means (UFM). In such cases the candidate’s examination may be cancelled.
Please check whether the question paper is correct or not.
Candidates will have to carefully look at the question paper displayed on the computer screen. If the question paper is different from the subject chosen by you, immediately inform the staff present in the examination hall.
It is necessary to cooperate with the examination staff
It is necessary to fully cooperate with the examination staff during identity verification, biometric checking and other processes. Non-cooperation may also result in action.
