Maharashtra: After municipal elections, Owaisi’s AIMIM decided the next target, made a big announcement

Asaduddin Owaisi’s party AIMIM is continuously making its presence felt in Maharashtra politics. The support received from urban areas in the recent municipal elections has boosted the confidence of the party leadership. Owaisi believes that these results have made it clear that the party has the ability to strengthen itself not only in a limited role but also on the big political platform.

Lessons learned from a close defeat

Asaduddin Owaisi said that many party leaders faced defeat in the assembly elections by a very small margin. Jalil Saheb missed by just 1100 votes, while Nasir Siddiqui also lost in a very close contest.

There was a difference of 11,000 votes in Shivaji Nagar-Makhurd assembly seat, but if we look at the data of the current municipal elections, there is an increase of 20,000 votes from there. This difference shows that the party’s hold at the grassroots level has strengthened.

Political equation changed in Dhule

According to The Indian Express, while referring to Dhule, Owaisi said that at one time the party candidate there had gone to Ajit Pawar, but now the situation has changed. AIMIM has 12 councilors in Dhule. This result shows that the work of the organization is showing impact on the ground and people are expressing confidence in the party.

He said that the party has now started preparing for the Zilla Parishad elections. We cannot sit on today’s achievements. As Sunil Gavaskar had said, even after scoring a century, one has to start again from zero the next day. We also have to start again, work on the ground and use this momentum to further strengthen the party in the state.

Target of expansion in the state

Asaduddin Owaisi said that work is being done on a strategy to take the momentum gained from municipal elections to assembly and district level politics. The focus of the party is on strengthening the organization, keeping the workers active and increasing connect with the public through local issues. This basis will further strengthen the role of AIMIM in the politics of the state.
