US President Donald Trump has once again intensified the demand to make Greenland a part of America. He shared a map on social media in which Greenland, Canada and Venezuela are shown as US territories. After this step, a new dispute has arisen between America and its allied countries.

Trump shared a picture on his social media platform Truth Social, in which several NATO leaders are seen sitting in the Oval Office. In the changed map behind the picture, Greenland is shown as part of America. This picture includes French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
Claim of soft stance on EU
Earlier, Trump had claimed that the European Union would not protest much regarding Greenland. Speaking in Florida, he said that Greenland is important for America’s national security to stop the growing influence of Russia and China. He also said that Denmark does not have the capacity to defend Greenland.
‘We want Greenland’- Trump
“We want this, this must happen,” Trump told reporters. He said that it is necessary to make Greenland a part of America. Trump had earlier linked his demand regarding this area of Denmark to the Nobel Peace Prize. He had said in a letter to the Prime Minister of Norway that he had not received this award yet. He also claimed that the American economy is in the strongest position in the world.
Claim of talks with NATO chief
In another post, Trump said that he had a ‘very good conversation’ on the phone with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte regarding Greenland. He wrote that Greenland is very important for national and global security and no one can back down on this.
Said America to be the most powerful country
Trump said that America is the most powerful country in the world. He claimed that the army was strengthened during his first term and this process has now become faster. According to him, peace in the world can be maintained only through strength.
