Heart-wrenching news has come out from Chitrakoot district. Here, in a town of Bargarh police station area, miscreants kidnapped Ayush, the 14-year-old son of a cloth merchant, and brutally murdered him. According to the information, after the kidnapping of Ayush, the miscreants had demanded a ransom of Rs 40 lakh from the family. When the ransom money was not received, the accused strangled Ayush to death.
After the murder, the miscreants tried to dispose of the innocent body by locking it in a box. Later, when the dead body was recovered, sensation spread in the entire area. Angered by this incident, people placed Ayush’s body and blocked the Prayagraj-Chitrakoot National Highway, due to which the traffic came to a complete standstill. As soon as this information was received, police forces from many police stations reached the spot and tried to control the situation.
After this incident, there is an atmosphere of tension in the area, meanwhile the police had an encounter with two accused of kidnapping in Puranu Baba forest. In the encounter, both the accused were shot, in which the accused named Kallu died, while the accused named Irfan is said to be injured and has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
The angry crowd is protesting accusing the police of negligence. DIG Rajesh of Chitrakootdham division is also present on the spot to control the situation, police and administration are keeping an eye on the situation, but at present tension remains in the area. It is being told that the accused used to work at the businessman’s shop only. People have blocked the highway and have also demanded bulldozer action.
