Politics has also intensified over the controversy that started regarding Shankaracharya in Prayagraj Magh Mela. In Lucknow, Congress party has come in support of Shankaracharya. Posters have been put up outside the party office in support of Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, in which the fight with his batuks has been shown on the day of Mauni Amavasya.
A hoarding has been put up in support of Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshnarananda outside the Congress Party office in Lucknow. This hoarding has been put up by State Vice President of Indian Youth Congress and leader associated with Ayodhya Assembly, Sharad Shukla. In this, the dispute that took place with Shankaracharya and the police administration while going for Mauni Amavasya Snan festival is shown.

In which Batuk is seen praying with folded hands. In this poster, questions have been raised on the entire episode by mentioning the couplet of Shri Ramcharitmanas ‘Jaako Prabhu Darun Dukh Dehi, Taki Mati Pehle Har Lehi’.
