Skoda Slavia will return in facelift avatar, competition will increase in the sedan segment, know when will it be launched

Skoda Auto India has recently launched the Kushaq facelift in the Indian market and now the company is preparing to update its popular sedan Skoda Slavia. According to media reports, the facelift version of Slavia can be launched by the year 2026. Before the launch, this car has been seen several times during testing, due to which important information related to its design and features has come to light.

Competition will increase in sedan segment

  • Skoda Slavia is one of the best selling cars of the company. It gives tough competition to sedan cars like Volkswagen Virtus, Hyundai Verna and Honda City. The competition in this segment is going to intensify in the coming time, because the next-generation model of Honda City is expected to launch in 2027. In such a situation, Slavia facelift can prove to be very important for Skoda.

There will be changes in front and rear design

  • Based on the pictures revealed during testing, many changes can be seen in the front design of Skoda Slavia. It is expected to have a new vertical slatted grille, updated headlights and fog lamps. Along with this, the bumper will also get a new look, in which an air dam with web-like design can be seen. New tail lights and a redesigned rear bumper can also be given at the rear of the car, which will make it look more premium than before.

Features will be even more premium

  • Many new and advanced features are expected to be available inside the cabin in Skoda Slavia facelift. This may include better seating comfort, new and larger infotainment system, digital instrument cluster and panoramic sunroof. Premium features like massage function for the rear passengers can also be provided in the top variants.

Will there be changes in the engine or not?

  • Since this is a facelift model, there is little hope of major changes in engine options. It will get the existing 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, which produces 115 horsepower, and may also continue with the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, which generates 150 horsepower. However, the company can add 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox to it like Kushaq.
