In the case of theft of offerings from the Ram temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, construction committee chairman and former Indian Administrative Service officer Nripendra Mishra has said that the people have been betrayed. While talking to ABP News Political Editor Megha Prasad, Mishra also said that the people of the bank did not fulfill their responsibilities. Mishra said that there was open robbery on the offerings.

In the case of theft of offerings in Ram temple, Nripendra Mishra said that the evidence emerging related to the counting process indicates that there was almost zero monitoring in the entire system and there was a serious lack of vigilance. He told that it was clearly stipulated in the agreement between the bank and the trust that it would be the responsibility of the bank to count the donations and maintain its accounts.

The former IAS said that from the initial facts it appears that the bank did not follow its prescribed responsibilities. He also said that the bank was supposed to deploy its employees in the counting room, but this was not done. Why this happened is now a matter of investigation and the SIT will investigate it.

Ram temple offering stolen: CM Yogi took Akhilesh’s name in Ayodhya, then said – he will tell his MLA…

Had the instructions been followed, such a situation would not have happened – Mishra

Chairman of Ram Temple Construction Committee, Nripendra Mishra said that even though he is in the construction committee, he is also recognized as a person associated with the temple, hence he wants to express his views clearly on this matter. He said that if the prescribed instructions had been followed completely, such a situation would not have arisen.

Mishra said that accordingly the entire system should have been made transparent, clear accountability of all the people involved in the counting process should have been fixed, checking of people coming in and out should have been mandatory and the entire process should have been under CCTV surveillance.

SP enraged after CM Yogi’s statement on theft of Ram Temple offerings, made big claim by taking name of Brijbhushan Sharan Singh

He told that the CCTV footage was not deleted intentionally, but it was deleted under the auto-delete system. Although, if necessary, the footage could have been preserved, but it was not done.

The Chairman of the Construction Committee said that it is also true that watch was being conducted at two places. There were CCTVs in the trust – there was also a monitoring arrangement in the police control room. It was difficult for the police, but the system was within itself. I would say that there was a severe lack of experience in administrative management. Therefore, I have given this open suggestion that an experienced officer should be placed in the trust immediately, but there should be freedom to work.
