Abhishek Sharma created history in the third T20 against New Zealand in Guwahati, he scored a half-century in 14 balls. This is the second fastest half-century by an Indian in T20 International, the first being Yuvraj Singh. Yuvi scored a half-century in 12 balls against England in the 2007 T20 World Cup. After the match, Abhishek said that it is almost impossible for anyone to break Yuvraj’s record.
Abhishek Sharma played an unbeaten inning of 67 runs in 20 balls, in which he hit 5 sixes and 7 fours. After the match, Abhishek said, “This is what my team wants from me and I want to do it every time. But obviously, it is not easy to do it every time, but I think it is all mental and the environment around your dressing room also matters.
On Yuvraj Singh’s record of fastest half-century, Abhishek said, “It is almost impossible for anyone to break the record of his fastest T20 fifty, but still, no one knows. Any batsman can do it because I think all the batsmen are playing very well in this series and it is going to be fun in the future.”
