While talking about Dil Chahta Hai in an interview given to Bollywood Bubbles, Isha said – Rejecting Dil Chahta Hai is the biggest regret of my life. I had signed the film Pyaar Ishq Mohabbat, and I could have easily told the producer and director that I want to do Dil Chahta Hai too or I want to leave your film and do Dil Chahta Hai, but at that time there was no one to guide me, and the values in my life are so high that once I commit to something, I don’t even listen to myself. I think this dialogue of Salman Khan is for my life.
Isha further said- ‘I thought how can I betray him after signing his film? I think I should have made some arrangements. I could have done both the films or could have chosen ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ instead because unfortunately, ‘Pyaar Ishq Mohabbat’ was not that big a hit and ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ became a cult film. Isha was approached for the role of Pooja opposite Saif Ali Khan in the film. This role was played by Sonali Kulkarni in the film.
