Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Tuesday (27 January) made a scathing attack on Shiv Sena UBT chief Uddhav Thackeray without naming him. He said that it was only to teach a lesson to those who abandoned the self-respect and ideas of Balasaheb Thackeray that I fought hard to change the government in the state and formed a government in Maharashtra based on Balasaheb’s ideas. He said that the opposition is feeling stomach cramps because of his continuous work for the common man, working people, farmers, women and the poor.
Addressed public meeting in Kelghar
He was speaking at a public meeting organized in the background of Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti elections in Kelghar-Medha of Satara district. Thousands of citizens including ‘girl sisters’ were present in large numbers in this meeting. Shinde expressed his gratitude to the people present for gathering such a large crowd in a short time.
Appealing to make the Mahayuti’s Shiv Sena and Nationalist Congress candidates victorious with an overwhelming majority, Shinde said, “This election is not just about the candidates, but about development, self-respect and the ideas of Balasaheb.”
What did you say about unemployed youth?
Shinde firmly said that I have resolved to give work to the youth to stop their migration to cities like Mumbai, Pune, Thane, Vasai, Nalasopara for jobs and employment.
‘This is my guarantee that we will create employment on this land’
He assured that the Bondarwadi Dam will be completed under any circumstances. I will take care of whoever comes in the way. Eknath Shinde expressed confidence that this dam will give a big boost to tourism and thousands of jobs will be created in the district.

Every month money will go into the accounts of my girl sisters. He further said that whether it is Rs 15,000 or Rs 21,000, we will fulfill the promise given. The right decision will be taken at the right time.
What did you say about the assembly elections?
Eknath Shinde sarcastically said that women have shown the opposition its status in the Assembly. This is a miracle in the history of Maharashtra that 232 MLAs were elected. The opposition could not even get the Leader of the Opposition. Recalling the government’s decision to waive 100 per cent education fee following the suicide of a student, Shinde said, “If the government is not for the common people, then what is the use of it?”
He told that apart from Rs 6,000 given by the Central Government, the State Government has also decided to give Rs 6,000 under the Kisan Samman Yojana. The government is also working to provide compensation for the damage caused by excessive rainfall.
180 schemes approved during the two and a half year tenure of the government
The Deputy CM claimed that during the two and a half year tenure of the Mahavikas Aghadi government, only four irrigation projects were approved, while the Shinde government approved 180 projects in just two and a half years. He told that new roads, bridges and tourist routes are being developed in Mahabaleshwar, Tapola, Kelghar, Medha, Pratapgarh areas.
