India u18 asian championships: India has done wonders in the Under 18 Asian Championships. For India, Nitin Gupta has won the silver medal at the 5000 meter racewalk event. Nitin lost the gold medal in the process of celebrating quickly. India missed the gold medal for just 0.01 seconds. In the final of the racewalk event, there was a match between India and China. China captured gold by winning.
In fact, Uttar Pradesh athlete Nitin Gupta took a lead of about 50 meters in the final. He had a competition with Zhu Ninghao of China. The Chinese athlete lagged behind Nitin. But Nitin shook hands to celebrate before reaching the final line. This broke his Momentum. This was taken advantage of by the Chinese athlete and reached Nitin just 0.01 seconds ago and won gold.
Celebrating quickly Nitin got heavy –
Nitin was close to victory. But they could win only the silver medal. Nitin finished the race in 20: 21.50s. Whereas Chinese athlete Ninghao won gold by finishing 20: 21.50s racewalk. Nitin has given India the first silver in the Asian Under 18 Athletics.
Nitin’s name is recorded world record –
The world record is also recorded in the name of 17 -year -old Nitin. He has completed the 5000 meter race in 19: 24.48 seconds. This is the Under 20 World Record. He made this record at the National Youth Athletics Championship in Patna.
Let us know that in other Indian athletes, Aarti took the second place by taking out 11.85 seconds in the girls’ 100 meter heat. He also set a new individual best record. She also qualified for the final by registering the second fastest time in all the heat.
