Stocks to watch today: A tremendous rise was seen in the Indian stock market on Wednesday amid the FTA between India and the European Union (EU). Analysts say that the Nifty index has settled around the important level of 25350 and this recovery can extend up to the zone of 25600. Vedanta
Mining company Vedanta Limited has decided to exercise the oversubscription option of its subsidiary Hindustan Zinc on January 29. In this, apart from the base offer of 3.35 crore shares, an additional 1.4 crore shares will also be sold. This will increase the total offer size to 4.75 crore shares, which is 1.13 percent of the paid-up equity.
Akzo Nobel India
The board of paint industry giant Akzo Nobel India Ltd has approved the proposal to change the name of the company from Akzo Nobel India to JSW Dulux, subject to approval from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. Due to this, movement may be seen in its shares today.
United Breweries
United Breweries on Wednesday announced the launch of Kingfisher Smooth in Karnataka. The company’s decision to add one more product to its portfolio will further strengthen the company’s presence in the mainstream strong beer category. It has been designed keeping in mind those consumers who are fond of drinking strong and smooth beer.
Larsen and Toubro
The impact of the quarterly results of Larsen & Toubro (L&T), a large company in the engineering and construction sector, can be seen in its shares today. The company has registered a decline of 4.3 percent in its consolidated net profit in the December quarter, which stood at Rs 3215 crore as compared to Rs 3359 crore recorded in the December quarter last year. Profit after tax (PAT) belongs to the owners of the parent company.

Dhirendra Jain has been elected as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Union Bank of India. His appointment will be effective from February 1. After the resignation of Avinash Vasant Prabhu, now Dhirendra Jain will replace him. Avinash Vasant will step down from the post of CFO on January 31, 2026.

Condom brand Cupid Ltd has acquired two in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) products – CupiKIT HIV 1&2 Antibody Test Kit and CupiKIT Hepatitis B Test Kit. With these approvals, Cupid will be able to sell certified products in the European Economic Area (EEA) and other CE-recognized international markets.
RVNL
The joint venture of Rail Vikas Nigam and GPT Infra Projects has got a big infrastructure project. Under this Rs 1,201.35 crore project of Northern Railway, the company has to build a rail-cum-road bridge 50 meters below the existing old Malviya Bridge near Kashi Railway Station in Banaras. These will have four railway tracks on the lower deck and a six-lane road on the upper deck.
