It has often been seen in the film industry that as soon as a big superstar’s film falters at the box office, discussions about his upcoming films intensify. These days, a similar atmosphere is being created regarding South Superstar Prabhas. After his recent film ‘The Raja Saab’ flopped badly at the box office, suddenly rumors about ‘Salaar 2’ started flying on social media and in the industry. There were discussions on social media that the project has been shelved.

Actually, after the poor performance of ‘The Raja Saab’, various kinds of talks started happening about Prabhas’s career. Meanwhile, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga announced the release date (5 March 2027) of his film ‘Spirit’, which changed the atmosphere a bit. Now discussion has also started regarding ‘Salar 2’.

‘Saalar 2’ has not stopped
Recently, some reports claimed that the sequel of ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’ has been put on hold after the failure of ‘The Raja Saab’. It was said that the film may be postponed indefinitely. It was even told that directors Prashant Neel and Prabhas are thinking of making the film completely afresh because the things that worked three years ago may not be liked by the people now.

Makers put brakes on rumors
But now the makers themselves have put an end to all these rumours. The team shared a post on its official social media handle, terming the rumors floating about ‘Salar 2’ as wrong. This post was posted on the occasion of actor Shruti Haasan’s birthday, in which she is seen with Prabhas. Both of them were seen smiling while watching something on mobile and from here the excitement of the fans reached the seventh sky. People simply took this as a sign that ‘Salar 2’ is completely on track.

Fans got excited
As soon as the post appeared, there was a flood of comments. Someone started writing, ‘Finally saw Deva smiling,’ while someone said, ‘Just imagine how the fight between Deva and Varda will be in Salaar 2.’ Many fans have already started demanding the trailer. It is clear that Prabhas’ fans are very excited about ‘Salaar 2’.

Story and box office journey of ‘Salaar’
Talking about ‘Salaar’, ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’ was directed by Prashant Neel and in it, Prithviraj Sukumaran was in an important role along with Prabhas. The film tells the story of a fictional city of Khansar where two friends become enemies. Released in December 2023, this film had earned around Rs 650 crore worldwide. Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Ishwari Rao and Shriya Reddy were also seen in the film. Now it is believed that ‘Saalar 2: Shauryang Parvam’ will take the story forward from where the first part ended and the conflict between the characters of Prabhas and Prithviraj will be seen deepening.
