According to this survey, India Alliance can get 182 seats. Talking about vote percentage, India Alliance will get only 39 percent votes. Whereas in the elections held in 2024, India Alliance had got 234 seats and the vote was 40 percent.
There was a reversal in the survey for 2024 Lok Sabha elections
At the time of elections in 2024, 13 exit polls had conducted the survey. According to that data, in the poll of polls, NDA was estimated to have 365 seats and India alliance was estimated to have 145 seats. Others were said to get 32 seats. In the Hindi heartland states of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Delhi, BJP was predicted to have a one-sided lead. BJP’s victory on more than 90% seats in these states was considered certain. However, the results were opposite. Congress had emerged as a strong opposition.
What was the difference from the survey in 2024 Lok Sabha elections?
The 2024 Lok Sabha elections were held in a total of seven phases from 19 April to 1 June 2024 and the counting of votes took place on 4 June 2024. There are a total of 543 seats in the Lok Sabha and at least 272 seats are required for majority. This election was the biggest in the history of the country, as more than 97 crore voters were registered and more than 64 crore people cast their votes. The turnout was around 66%.
NDA had won 293 seats, out of which BJP alone won 240 seats. This was much less than 303 seats in 2019. Whereas, India Alliance had won 234 seats. In this, Congress won 99 seats, which gave the party the status of official opposition after 10 years.
