Palestine Foreign Minister Warsen Agabekian Shahin reacted about Prime Minister Narendra Modi in an interview. Talking about the role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said, ‘India’s position is special because it is a friend of both Israel and Palestine.’ He expressed hope that India can play the role of a bridge and make a positive contribution in carrying forward the peace process based on its values ​​of democracy, human rights and international law.

Beginning of peace and expectations from Israel

Regarding the peace process, Minister Shahin said that it should start with the honest intentions of Israel. According to him, Israel has to understand that its own security is not possible without the security of its neighbors. He said that peace has a price and it is essential to show political will to pay that price.
Netanyahu government and international pressure

Talking about the current Netanyahu government of Israel, Minister Shahin said that Netanyahu has been openly giving statements against the Palestinian state. In such a situation, it is not practical to expect peace initiatives from them without any international pressure. He said that it will be necessary to create pressure from wherever there is influence, from America to India.
