Axios, quoting sources, said in its report that in Washington DC, Saudi Arabia’s Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman (KBS) held a very important meeting in the presence of US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, White House Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman General Dan Cain.
The main objective of this meeting was to discuss the possible American attack on Iran and its regional effects. According to the report, Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman (KBS) said that if US President Donald Trump does not follow through on his threats to Iran, it will further embolden the Iranian regime. Apart from this, Iran will emerge stronger.
Saudi changed stance regarding possible US action on Iran
This big statement from the Saudi Defense Minister is being considered completely contrary to Saudi Arabia’s public stance till now because till now Riyadh had been openly warning against increasing tension.
