PCB New Central Contract: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is going to give a big gift to the players in the 2026-27 season. The board is looking at a historic change in its central contract system. For the first time, PCB will give central contracts to players according to their grade. Under this system, players playing Test cricket will benefit the most. You will get almost double salary for one test. Apart from this, there will be an increase of 500% on winning the ICC Trophy.
In media reports, quoting a reliable source of Pakistan, it was said that this draft of the central contract is being prepared under the supervision of Test cricket head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed and white ball coach Mike Hesson. Under this, there is talk of giving priority to Test cricket. Players playing Test cricket will get a special reward.
Double fee for test match
According to sources in the reports, it was said that the players falling in ‘A’ category will get 15 lakh Pakistani rupees for a test. Earlier, players were given Rs 8 lakh for a test. Now almost Test cricketers will get double the fees. Before tax is deducted, his monthly retainer will be in the range of Rs 40 lakh.
B-category has been created for white ball cricketers, which will include ODI and T20 cricket. After this, those players will be kept in C-category, who will play only T20 International and franchise league.
500% increase on winning ICC trophy
Pak players will get the most benefit by winning the ICC Trophy. Track-A and Track-B players will be given 500% more match fees if they win the ICC title. There will be a profit of 300% if you win the Asia Cup. It was also told that the names of the players who got contracts from the Pakistan Board will not be made public. At the same time, no official information has come from Pakistan Board regarding this yet.
