Amidst the ongoing cold in North India, Western Disturbance has become active again, the effect of which will be clearly visible from the capital Delhi to the hilly states. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), from today (February 1), rain with cold winds and snowfall in high altitude areas may be seen in many states.
Delhi weather
A big change will be felt in the weather of Delhi-NCR today. The effect of snowfall in the hilly areas will reach the plains, due to which cold winds will blow and the minimum temperature may drop. According to IMD, there is a possibility of rain with thunder in Delhi-NCR today, due to which the cold is expected to increase further.
Possibility of hailstorm in Rajasthan
There is a possibility of cloudy sky and rain in Rajasthan due to Western Disturbance. Today there may be light to moderate rain in the capital Jaipur, Bharatpur, Kota, Ajmer, Udaipur and Shekhawati region. There are also chances of hailstorm in some areas.
Weather changed again in UP
The weather in Uttar Pradesh is about to take a turn once again. While releasing the latest forecast, IMD has said that today there may be light rain along with lightning in many parts of the state. There is a possibility of gusty winds and rain in many areas including Western UP and Bundelkhand.
Where will it rain today?
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain with thunder in large parts of UP today. These districts mainly include Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Gautam Buddha Nagar and Bulandshahr. Apart from this, there may also be rain in the surrounding areas of Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Kasganj, Etah, Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Sambhal, Badaun, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba and Jhansi.
There will be severe cold i.e. cold day conditions in some districts of Eastern Uttar Pradesh today. In Terai areas like Maharajganj, Siddharth Nagar, Balrampur and Shravasti, the effect of winter will be severe and a huge drop in day temperature can be seen.

The impact of western disturbance is limited in Bihar, but there is no hope of getting relief from cold and fog. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be dense fog in many parts of the state this morning and night. This may reduce visibility.
