This four-year program has been designed keeping in mind a balance of academic education and practical training. In the first two years of the course, students will stay at the IIT Kanpur campus and study various aspects of cyber security. During this, they will be given in-depth information about classroom based education, laboratory training and technical subjects related to cyber security.

During this period, students will get the opportunity to do internship with various government security organizations and agencies.
