Afridi’s statement is two-faced
Afridi’s statement clearly appears to be two-faced. On one hand, he also expressed sadness over the fact that there will be no match between India and Pakistan in the T20 World Cup. On the other hand, Afridi supported his government’s decision.
Pakistan government had announced
It is noteworthy that the Pakistan government had issued an official statement last Sunday (01 February) on Twitter (earlier Twitter) saying that their team will play the T20 World Cup, but will not take part in the match against India. Let us tell you that according to the ICC schedule, the clash between India and Pakistan in the league stage of the tournament was to be held in Sri Lanka on 15th February. The upcoming T20 World Cup is starting from 7th February, which will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.
