Slovakia’s National Security Advisor (NSA) Miroslav Laichak has resigned from his post after the revelation of 3 million new files related to Jeffrey Epstein. She took this step after new files related to Epstein revealed that there was an exchange of emails between her and Epstein, in which conversations were allegedly held about young women.
Slovakia’s National Security Advisor (NSA) Miroslav Laichk issued an official statement denying any wrongdoing and strongly condemning Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes. He said that the conversation in the email was informal and light-hearted, which had no concrete or serious meaning.
Laichak told why he resigned from the post?
However, he also said that he was resigning from the post of National Security Advisor so that this matter could not be used to politically attack Slovakia’s Prime Minister Robert Fico.
Miroslav Laichak said, ‘I have neither been involved in any criminal nor any unethical activity in any of my work, but I do not want Slovakia’s Prime Minister Fico to pay a political price for something that has nothing to do with his policies or decisions.’

Prime Minister Robert Fico shared a video post on the social media platform Facebook on Saturday (January 31, 2026) and said that he has accepted the resignation of National Security Advisor Miroslav Laichak. He described Laichak as an excellent source of experience in the field of diplomacy and foreign policy.
It is noteworthy that on Friday (January 30, 2026), the US Justice Department had made public 3 million new files related to Jeffrey Epstein. These files also include some text messages from October 2018, when Miroslav Laichak was serving as the Foreign Minister of Slovakia.
