Another painful news has come related to the Coldrif cough syrup scandal that came to light last year in Parasia of Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh. In this case, a four-year-old child from Betul district who was seriously ill died during treatment. The child was undergoing treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Nagpur, where he breathed his last on Sunday (February 1) night.
The child was in coma for 4 months
According to the information, Harsh, son of Gokul Yadav, resident of Tikabarri village of Amla tehsil of Betul district, was in coma for more than four months.
Due to his condition being very critical, he was admitted to the ICU of AIIMS Nagpur. Despite the continuous efforts of the doctors, the child’s condition could not improve and ultimately he died late on Sunday night.
The death of a 4 year old innocent child has brought a mountain of sorrow on the family. The parents are in bad condition, crying. There is an atmosphere of mourning in the village also. Family members say that they were hopeful till the last moment that Harsh would recover, but fate had something else in store.
Awaiting post mortem report
Betul’s Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Manoj Hurmade has confirmed the death of the child. He told that the post-mortem of the body was conducted in Nagpur on Monday and was handed over to the family members.
After this death, questions have once again started being raised regarding the Coldriff cough syrup scandal. People say that if there had been strict action and better monitoring in time, perhaps this innocent child would have been alive today. Now eyes are also focused on the investigation already going on in the case.
At present, the administration is waiting for the post-mortem report and the family has been assured of all possible help.
