With the help of this feature, riders will now be able to do many important tasks just by speaking without touching the scooter. The company has named it Voice on Ather, which is considered a big step towards making the scooter more smart and convenient.
Through this new feature, riders will now be able to do many things like starting navigation, controlling music, managing calls and even changing riding modes just through voice. This will reduce the need to repeatedly tap the screen while driving and will make riding safer.
How will the new voice command system work?
This system of Ather is not dependent on fixed commands like a normal voice assistant. Natural language processing has been used in it, that is, the rider can give instructions even in the language of normal conversation. For example, if someone asks to take me to the nearest mall or show me the way to my house, the system can understand it and start navigation. The company claims that this feature will make the conversation between the scooter and the rider easier than ever. This will make the technology easier to use even for those who do not want to remember complex commands.
You can also change riding mode by voice
Ather scooters come with different riding modes like Eco, Ride and Warp mode. Now the rider can change modes by just giving voice commands without touching the screen. This will increase convenience during traffic or long journeys and focus will remain on the road. The new feature has been specially designed to make navigation easier.
Now there will be no need to type the location. The rider can simply tell the name of a place by speaking and the scooter will immediately start showing the route. Apart from this, tasks like changing the route or finding the nearest place can also be done through voice commands.
Will be able to take advantage of new technology
Taking out your phone while riding is often considered unsafe. Keeping this problem in mind, Ather has also linked call and music control to the voice system. The rider can change songs, play or pause music and can also perform some call related tasks through voice.
The good thing is that this feature will not be limited to just the new models. The company is making it available in all its Gen-3 and newer scooters through software update (OTA Update). That means, customers who already have an Ather scooter will also be able to take advantage of this new technology.
