Golconda Fort was built as Sripurdham Ashram

Actually, these scenes were shot in the historical Golconda Fort of Hyderabad. Salman Khan’s character Radhe was shown in the Sripurdham Ashram in the film, which made the story even more emotional. The filmmakers had used the old parts and quiet places of Golconda for these scenes, so that an atmosphere like a mental hospital could be created.

The strong stone structure and old look of the film proved helpful in creating a scary and authentic atmosphere without any big sets. Directed by Satish Kaushik, this film was released in 2003. Tere Naam proved to be a milestone in Salman Khan’s career.
