The political temperature is at its peak regarding the municipal elections in Telangana, where election noise is being heard from the corridors of power to the streets. A total of 12,993 candidates are trying their luck in this election Mahakumbh to be held in 7 municipal corporations and 116 municipalities of the state. According to the State Election Commission, all preparations have been completed for this election to be held in 2,996 wards, where on an average there will be a tough competition between four candidates per ward. Voting will begin in the morning on 11th and results will be declared after counting on 13th.

According to election strategists, such a large number of candidates contesting means that no seat is easy and the contest in every ward is going to be interesting. Political parties have taken the election campaign to its peak and are leaving no stone unturned to woo the voters before the campaign period ends on the 9th. The Election Commission has given instructions for strict adherence to the Model Code of Conduct, so that the voting process can be conducted in a fair and peaceful manner.
