It is necessary to have gas connection in the same name. Your bank account should be linked to Aadhaar and KYC should be updated. The mobile number should also be linked to Aadhaar. So that there is no problem in digital verification.

The process will remain the same as before. You have to book the cylinder from your gas agency and pay the full price on delivery. After this the gas company will send consumer data to the government. If found eligible, an amount of Rs 853 will be directly transferred to your bank account.
You will not get a free cylinder directly

Let us tell you that you will not get free cylinder. When you buy cylinders, you will have to pay their price first. After this, the government will send the amount of the cylinder i.e. currently Rs 853 to your account through Direct Benefit Transfer.
