A heart-wrenching incident came to light in Sagar district on Wednesday (4th February) night. A female staff nurse was shot dead just in front of the Community Health Center in Shahgarh police station area. After the incident, there is an atmosphere of panic and sensation in the entire area.
The deceased nurse has been identified as 25-year-old Deepshikha Chadhar. According to the police, Deepshikha was present at the main entrance of the health center at around 8.30 pm on Wednesday night. Meanwhile, an unknown youth reached there and suddenly opened fire on them. As soon as the bullet hit, Deepshikha fell down and died on the spot.
The accused absconded after the incident
After committing the incident the accused fled from the spot. When the people present nearby heard the sound of gunshot, there was chaos. As soon as the information was received, Shahgarh police station reached the spot and took control of the situation. The body has been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem.
Police said that the footage of CCTV cameras installed around the incident site is being scrutinized. Along with this, the eyewitnesses present at the spot are also being interrogated. At present, the exact reasons for the murder have not been officially revealed, but the police is investigating from every angle.
According to reports, a youth living in Katangi Patan area of Jabalpur is being suspected of carrying out the crime. It is being told that the accused was living with a friend in Shahgarh.
Deepshikha was also living in the same area for the last two years and both knew each other already. The accused youth was pressurizing Deepshikha for marriage. He was angry at the girl’s refusal.
Three bullets were fired, one hit him in the back.
According to the information, the accused fired a total of three bullets, one of which hit Deepshikha’s back and she died on the spot. The police have registered a case of murder against the unknown accused and have started searching for him. Officials say that soon the accused will be arrested and the entire matter will be revealed.
