Gemini AI is going to become more powerful. It can easily complete the daily tasks of the user on his command. This means that now along with chatting, image generation and problem solving, it will do everything from booking a ride to placing an order as per your request. For this, Google is working on a new feature, which is being called screen automation. This feature will be able to interact with apps on behalf of the user.

Reference to this feature has been seen in the 17.4 beta version of the Google app. Internally it has got the codename “bonobo”. It will interact with the supported apps on the screen on behalf of the user. That means the user just has to give commands to Gemini. After this, Gemini will automatically open the app and book the ride as per your request. Similarly, it will also order the food of your choice. This will eliminate the hassle of opening the app and scrolling through the menu. However, there is some risk in this and Google has also given a warning regarding this that it can make mistakes. For this the user will be given full control. If they feel that Gemini is doing something wrong then they can stop it right away and take complete control.
This concern about privacy
According to reports, there is some concern with this feature regarding privacy. Actually, when Gemini interacts with apps, its screenshots can go to human reviewers to improve Google services. However, this will happen only if a user keeps the ‘Keep Activity’ option enabled. Google has also advised users not to enter log-in details and payment information in Gemini Chat. Also, users have been asked not to use screen automation for sensitive and emergency information.
