The wait of lakhs of candidates for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test CTET February 2026 to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education is about to end. The board can release CTETf admit card today i.e. on 5th February 2026. Candidates will be able to download their hall ticket from the official website ctet.nic.in. This time a record of more than 25 lakh candidates have applied, due to which a major change has been made in the examination schedule.
CTET exam will be held in 2 days
Earlier the CTET exam was proposed only on 8th February, but considering the number of applicants, CBSE has now decided to conduct it on two days on 7th and 8th February 2026. This examination will be conducted in about 140 cities of the country. The examination will be held in two shifts on both days, in which the first shift will run from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm and the second shift will run from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
When will the admit card be released?
Usually CTET admit card is released 2 days before the examination. In such a situation, the admit cards of the candidates whose exam is on 7th February are likely to be released on 5th February i.e. today, whereas the admit cards of those who appeared for the exam on 8th February can be released on 6th February. The admit card will contain exam centre, shift reporting time and necessary guidelines.
How to download CTET admit card?
- To download CTET admit card, first go to the official website ctet.nic.in.
- After this, click on the home page CTET Admit Card February 2026 link.
- Now fill the application number, date of birth and captcha code.
- As soon as all these things are submitted, the admit card will appear on the screen.
- At last download the admit card and take its print out.
Important instructions related to examination center
Candidates have been advised to report to the examination center at least 90 minutes to 2 hours before. The entry gates will be closed as soon as the examination starts. It is mandatory to carry a photo identity card along with the admit card. Apart from this, CTET exam is of total 150 marks and there is no negative marking in it. It is necessary to score minimum 60 percent marks for general category, whereas 55 percent marks have been fixed for reserved category.
