Big fall in the price of gold, price reduced by more than Rs 5000 in a day; Know the latest price of 24 carat in your city?

Gold Price Today: After the rise in the last two days, gold prices in India have declined on Thursday. Today the price of 24 carat gold has fallen by Rs 502 to Rs 15442 per gram. Similarly, the price of 22 carat gold has decreased by Rs 460 to Rs 14155 per gram. Due to fluctuations in the global market and profit booking, the prices have come down again.

Market experts say that the main reason for the fall in gold prices today was global trends. Market sentiment was affected after US President Donald Trump nominated Kevin Wersh as the next Chairman of the US Federal Reserve. After Kevin’s name surfaced as Fed Chairman, speculations began about a tight monetary policy stance. Expectations of higher interest rates usually put pressure on non-yielding assets like gold.

How much has the price of 24 carat reduced?

Today on Thursday, a huge fall of Rs 502 per gram was seen in 24 carat gold. The price of 24 carat gold fell to Rs 15442 per gram as compared to yesterday’s Rs 15944 per gram. The price of 8 grams 24 carat gold is now Rs 1,23,536, which is Rs 4,016 less than yesterday. Similarly, the price of 10 grams has fallen by Rs 5,020 to Rs 1,54,420. The price of 100 grams of 24 carat gold is now Rs 15,44,200, which is a huge fall of Rs 50,200 from the previous session.

Price of 22 carat also reduced

On Thursday, the price of 22 carat gold fell by Rs 460 per gram to Rs 14,155, which was Rs 14,615 yesterday. The price of 8 grams 22 carat gold is Rs 1,13,240, which is Rs 3,680 less than the day before. Whereas the price of 10 grams is Rs 1,41,550, which shows a fall of Rs 4,600. The price of 100 grams of 22 carat gold fell by Rs 46,000 and became Rs 14,15,500.

18 carat gold also became cheaper

Meanwhile, the rate of 18 carat gold fell by Rs 376 per gram to Rs 11,582 as against Rs 11,958 per gram in the previous session. The price of eight grams of 18 carat gold is now Rs 92,656, which is Rs 3,008 less. Similarly, the price of 10 grams is Rs 1,15,820, which shows a decline of Rs 3,760. On February 5, 2026, the price for 100 grams fell by Rs 37,600 to Rs 11,58,200.
