Tension between India and Pakistan is at its peak after Bangladesh’s exit from the T20 World Cup 2026. Pakistan has clearly refused that it will not play the match against Team India on 15th February. But this stand of Pakistan has once again raised the question that what will happen if there is an India-Pak match in the semi-finals or final? Salman Aga has finally broken his silence on this subject.

A press conference of the captains was held on Thursday, February 5, in which Pakistan team captain Salman Aga said, “Playing against India is not in our control. It was the government’s decision. If we have to play India in the semi-finals or final, we will first take the government’s advice.”

Reminded you that Pakistan was the only country which supported Bangladesh’s demand for changing the venue. Bangladesh, which has been ruled out of the T20 World Cup 2026, has been replaced by Scotland.

Why did Pakistan decide to boycott?

Pakistan has also made it clear that its focus is not on external things but only on playing cricket matches. It has also become clear from Pakistan side that it has decided to boycott the match against India only in support of Bangladesh. As per the fixed schedule, the match between India and Pakistan is to be played in Colombo on 15th February.

Suryakumar Yadav has also given statement

Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav has also reacted to Pakistan’s decision to boycott. He said that the one who refused is Pakistan, the Indian team has not refused to play with them. Suryakumar made it clear that Team India will leave for Colombo after its match on 12th February.
