Ravneet Singh Bittu is currently a Rajya Sabha MP. BJP had sent him to the Upper House from Rajasthan in August 2024. Bittu is the Minister of State in the Ministry of Railways and Food and Processing Industries in the Central Government. Before joining BJP, he was involved in Congress Party. Joined Bharatiya Janata Party in March 2024. In the Lok Sabha elections, BJP had made him a candidate from Ludhiana seat of Punjab, but he was defeated by Congress candidate Amar Singh Raja Warar. Bittu has been MP of Ludhiana twice. He is the grandson of former Chief Minister of Punjab Beant Singh, who was assassinated in August 1995.
