Before its release, the film ‘Ghushkhor Pandat’ was embroiled in controversies, now a political battle has erupted over it. Former CM of Uttar Pradesh and National President of Samajwadi Party, Akhilesh Yadav, while opening a front against this film, has targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party. In this regard, he has also written a long post on social media handle X.
Akhilesh Yadav said, “BJP always conspires that it misuses some people of a society against the same society. With this, it targets, marks, targets a particular society and ‘humiliates-accuses’ it. Sometimes BJP does this through rhetoric and sometimes by giving notices on meetings, sometimes by investing its own money in advertisements, publicity materials or making films.”
‘BJP pretends to take action just for show’
Akhilesh Yadav said, “When the dispute escalates, the crocodile changes its color like a chameleon, sheds tears and comes forward to show off and pretends to take false action. The truth is that it is very happy in its heart to see the targeted community being humiliated and harassed.”
‘The title of the film is not just objectionable, it is extremely insulting’
The former CM said, “At present, it is not possible to mention the film issue by name because the title of the film is not only objectionable but also extremely insulting. Writing the name of that film will further serve the BJP’s purpose of insulting that society. Such a film should not be released even by changing the name.”
‘When producers suffer losses, such films will stop being made’
Only when the producers suffer financial loss, such films will stop being made because those running the BJP’s agenda out of greed for money, like the BJP, are not related to anyone else except money. This is not a matter of violation of ‘creative freedom’ or ‘creative liberty’, it is a matter of ‘creative understanding’ or should we say ‘creative prudence’ that how can a film which is prejudiced and hurts the sentiments of one party, under a well-thought-out conspiracy, be entertainment.
The former CM said that if the objective is not entertainment then the agenda behind the agenda of defaming a particular society must also be exposed. It should also be exposed who is behind this and why someone is investing his money and brain in such anti-social unity-destructive work.
‘The mirror of society should not be dirty and dirty’
He said that if ‘creative freedom’ deliberately violates someone else’s dignity, then imposing a complete ban on that willful creativity cannot be a violation of creativity. Freedom of expression is acceptable only as long as it does not violate the dignity and reputation of others. Cinema is considered the mirror of the society but this mirror should not be dirty and dirty.
