There will be no barrier at the toll plaza in the new toll plaza system. High resolution cameras installed on the road will read the number plates of every passing vehicle. Even if there is no Fastag on the vehicle. Even then the vehicle will be identified through the number plate. The system will register it as a toll violation and an e-challan will be sent to the vehicle owner.

Radar and lidar based cameras will do 360 degree recording in every lane. The entire data will be recorded in real time on the control room and NHAI server. What if I have Fastag but my balance is low?
If your vehicle has Fastag but its balance is low or it is blacklisted. Even then the system will recognize it. In such cases the vehicle will be recorded as a defaulter. The vehicle owner will receive alerts through SMS and app. If recharge is not done within the stipulated time, e-challan will be issued.
