The budget of Uttar Pradesh Assembly is going to start from Monday (09 February). This budget session will continue till 20 February. The opposition is preparing to corner the government. Meanwhile, before the start of the budget session, on Sunday (08 February), former Chief Minister of the state and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has cornered the BJP. He said that before BJP tells lies about the next budget, it is the public’s right to know the truth about the previous budget.

Akhilesh Yadav held a meeting with SP MLAs

Before the beginning of the budget session, Samajwadi Party chief and former CM of the state Akhilesh Yadav also held a meeting with the party MLAs at the party headquarters. During this, he told the MLAs the strategy to corner the government during the session. Along with organizational issues, the issue of electoral process and alleged irregularities were also raised prominently in the meeting.

Akhilesh Yadav’s allegations against the government

After the meeting, Akhilesh Yadav said, “In the last press conference, Samajwadi Party had raised serious questions regarding Form-7. The government has hired some professional agencies, whose people are sitting at various places in the country including Delhi, Lucknow and doing complete data analysis of the voters list. On the basis of voter list, these agencies are identifying those booths where SP has been winning the elections.

All party meeting held before UP budget session

An all-party meeting was also held on Sunday (08 February) before the budget session in Uttar Pradesh. Along with the ruling BJP, members of Congress and Samajwadi Party participated in this meeting. In this meeting, issues related to smooth functioning of the House and public interest were discussed. Yogi government of UP will present the budget for 2026-27 on February 11.
