ICC T20 World Cup 2026 has started and Pakistan team is playing all its matches in this tournament in Sri Lanka. However, more than cricket, there is currently a viral video being discussed in which the accommodation arrangements of the Pakistan team are being shown. This video has fueled both debate and mockery on social media.
Viral video raised questions
In the video surfaced on social media, it is being claimed that the place where the Pakistan team has been accommodated does not seem to be of the standard of an international team. After watching the video, many users made fun of Sri Lanka’s hospitality. Some fans took it lightly, while some even called it “insulting” for Pakistan. However, till now it is not officially clear whether the video is actually of the team hotel itself or of some other location.
Pakistan’s condition is shaky even on the field
Pakistan’s performance has also been under question amidst discussions on social media. In its very first match in the tournament, Netherlands gave a tough competition to Pakistan. After winning the toss, the Pakistani team came to bowl and restricted the opposition to 147 runs, but the batsmen disappointed while chasing the runs.

Despite the target looking easy, Pakistan had to struggle till the last over. Faheem Ashraf’s important innings saved the team in the three-wicket victory. This match clearly indicated that Pakistan will have to perform better in the future matches.
Suspense ends on the match against India
Pakistan had earlier adopted a very strict stance regarding the high-voltage match against India to be held on 15th February. Statements were made in support of Bangladesh for not playing the match against India, which created a big controversy. However, later Pakistan changed its decision. After talks between ICC, Pakistan Cricket Board and Bangladesh Cricket Board, it was decided that Pakistan will play this match. The ICC itself has approved this, putting an end to all speculations.
