The British woman was brutally murdered by her own father. There was a heated argument between the two over US President Donald Trump and the right to own a gun, after which the girl’s father took this dreadful step.
According to BBC report, 23-year-old British woman Lucy Harrison was killed by her 51-year-old father Chris Harrison. There was a dispute between the two at home in Texas, after which this incident took place just a few hours later. The accused father did not appear during the police interrogation, but a written statement was given to the court on his behalf.
The hearing of the case at Cheshire Coroner’s Court revealed that the girl had come to Texas with her boyfriend Sam Littler during the holidays to meet her father, when she was shot in the chest near Dallas on January 10, 2025, due to which she died. Lucy was a resident of Warrington, Britain and was a fashion buyer by profession.
The case came to light more than a year later, when a coroner’s inquest was held in Britain, an investigation mandated to investigate the sudden death of British citizens abroad to determine whether the cause of death was normal or not.
Littler, the boyfriend of the deceased girl, told in the statement given to the court that there used to be frequent fights between Lucy and her father, the reasons for this were drinking alcohol and keeping guns. On the morning of Lucy’s death, he was preparing to return to Britain, during which an argument started between Lucy and her father about Donald Trump.
According to the Sky News report, Littler said, “There was a very heated argument between Lucy and her father, after which Lucy went upstairs in anger.” According to Littler, he was downstairs and meanwhile he heard the sound of gunshot, when he heard the sound, he ran towards the room and saw that Lucy was lying on the floor near the bathroom and Chris (father) was screaming and talking nonsense.
