In many parts of Europe, the scorching heat has increased the problems of the people. The situation in Paris, the capital of France, has become so serious that it was decided to close the Eiffel Tower, one of the world’s most famous tourist destinations, prematurely on Tuesday (June 23). The operators of the tower said that this step has been taken keeping in mind the safety of the employees and tourists.

The effect of heat is continuously increasing in France. According to the National Weather Agency, the average temperature in the country was recorded at 29.8 degrees Celsius, which is considered to be the hottest day so far. According to IANS report, 18 people including two children have died in France due to the extreme heat. The pressure on hospitals and health services has also increased.

The situation in the neighboring country Spain also remains worrying. San Sebastian area, which is generally considered relatively cool, is also in the grip of heat this time, where the temperature reached 40 degrees Celsius. Experts say that this kind of heat is affecting normal life in many areas of Europe. People are being advised to stay indoors, drink enough water and avoid sunlight.

Health warning issued in Britain

On the other hand, Britain’s UK Health Security Agency has issued a red health warning for six areas of England, West Midlands, East Midlands, South East, South West, London and East of England. This warning will be effective from 1 am on Wednesday to 11 pm on Thursday. According to the agency, the level of heat can be so high that it poses a threat to the lives of even healthy people. Apart from this, transportation, food and water supply, energy services and business may also be affected.

This is the second time in Britain that such a serious red warning has been issued. Earlier, such an alert was issued for the first time in July 2022, when the temperature had reached above 40 degrees Celsius.
