Giving information on the situation in Balochistan, Balochistan Nationalist Party chief and former Chief Minister Sardar Akhtar Mengal informed that on January 31, when Baloch fighters simultaneously attacked military bases located in many cities of Balochistan, common people came out of their homes and took selfies with them, women were wrapping them in old clothes and giving them food because the people of Balochistan feel that only Baloch fighters saved them from oppression. Can. Also, when Pakistani army goes to these areas, people hide in their homes.
After this, Sardar Akhtar Mengal said that before the independence of Bangladesh, the way the Punjabi government of Pakistan had accepted that ‘here we are right, there you are right’, now the same thing needs to be accepted to stop the bloodshed in Balochistan. After this statement on Monday, former Chief Minister Sardar Akhtar Mengal had resigned from the post of MP on Tuesday, after which the Speaker of the Pakistani Parliament accepted the resignation of Sardar Akhtar Mengal.
The history of insurgency and civil war in Balochistan is very old and currently the fifth phase of insurgency is going on in Balochistan which started in the year 2000. The first armed rebellion in Balochistan started in the year 1947 itself after the inclusion of Balochistan in Pakistan, then the second rebellion took place after the control of Kalat area of ​​Balochistan was snatched.
The third rebellion took place in 1962 when an army cantonment was built in Balochistan; the fourth rebellion lasted from 1973 to 1977 when Pakistan’s then dictator Zulfikar Ali Bhutto dismissed the National Awami Party government of Balochistan. The fifth rebellion started in the year 2000 when Pervez Musharraf first started the work of Gwadar Port without the consent of the Baloch people and then after the assassination of Nawab Bugti in 2006, it took the form of armed rebellion. After this, organizations like Baloch Liberation Army, Baloch Liberation Front and Baloch Republican Army were formed which have been declared terrorist groups by Pakistan.
