Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Anand Dubey has launched a scathing attack on the central and state governments regarding the alleged beating case related to Latur, Maharashtra. He said that such an environment is being created in the country where people are being targeted in the name of religion and caste.
Dubey reminded the lines of an old song and said, “Neither you will become a Hindu, nor will you become a Muslim, you are the child of a human being, you will become a human being.” He alleged that during the era of Bharatiya Janata Party and Mahayuti government, the fire of hatred is increasing in the society, which is not being extinguished.
‘Travelling wearing a cap is also not free from danger’
Anand Dubey said that if a person from Maharashtra, especially from Latur, is traveling in a train wearing a cap and is beaten up, then it is a very serious matter, such traveling is not free from danger. According to him, “Neither Maharashtra is safe, nor are people outside Maharashtra safe. Neither Hindus are safe, nor Muslims are safe.”
He raised the question that when the government talks about “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas”, then why are people being targeted in the name of religion? Dubey said that if people hold each other and beat each other, then in which direction will this country and society go?
BJP leaders also targeted
Dubey also described the statements of some BJP leaders as the root of the controversy. He said that the statements of leaders like Himanta Biswa Sarma and Giriraj Singh create more divisions in the society. According to him, so much hatred is being spewed that the atmosphere has become completely polluted.
Demand for strict action from the government
Anand Dubey demanded that this matter related to Latur should be investigated impartially and strict action should be taken against the culprits. He said that the government should come out of its ego and focus on law and order, so that trust remains among the common people.
At present the police is busy investigating the matter. Political rhetoric regarding this incident has intensified and this issue may become more heated in the coming days.
