Ram Charan and Upasana Konidela recently named their twin babies. The ceremony was organized at the couple’s home in Hyderabad. The couple told that they have named their son Shivram and their daughter Anvira Devi. While talking to Variety India, Ram and Upasana also revealed the meaning behind their children’s names.

Talking about it, Ram Charan said, ‘Naming her was a very personal and spiritual decision for both of us. Upasana and I discussed it, but our parents were an important part of this journey. In our culture, elders are considered to be the givers of knowledge and blessings. Therefore his presence in this process meant a lot to us. Our son’s name Shivram reflects two eternal ideals – Lord Shiva and Lord Ram – strength with restraint, devotion with dharma. It also carries forward my father’s birth name Shiv Shankar Var Prasad, so there is a sense of lineage and gratitude in it.
Our daughter’s name Anveera Devi Asis is a symbol of courage and divine feminine power. Veera symbolizes bravery and An extends it to infinity. The goddess was added intentionally – to remind us that power and grace can exist together. For us, this name is not just an identity. It is a desire for strength, love and courage.
During the interview, Upasana also talked openly about becoming a mother for the second time. Upasana said, ‘For the first time, everything is new, beautiful, but also a little difficult. This time, I am feeling much more calm and stable. I have learned to let go of many things, and now I don’t panic over small things. Stability, regular routine and unconditional love, this is all that little ones need at this time.
