All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has performed well in the recent municipal elections in Telangana and has established its strong presence in the municipalities and municipal corporations. According to the final results released, AIMIM won a total of 69 seats, including 47 seats in municipalities and 22 seats in municipal corporations.
Talking about municipalities, AIMIM has won a total of 47 seats in 15 different municipalities. The most spectacular performance was seen in Bhainsa and Bodhan, where the party proved its supremacy by winning 12 seats each. Apart from this, the party showed its strong hold in North Telangana region by winning 6 seats in Adilabad and 3 seats in Nirmal.

AIMIM also registered its presence in other municipalities, including 2 seats each in Zaheerabad, Narayanpet and Jagityal, while 1 seat each in Sangareddy, Kagaznagar, Gadwal, Kohir, Kodangal, Vikarabad, Armur and Tandur. This demonstration shows that AIMIM is no longer limited to only a few limited areas, but is making inroads in various districts.

AIMIM won a total of 22 seats in the municipal elections. Among these, the maximum success was achieved in Nizamabad Municipal Corporation, where the party showed its influence by winning 14 seats. Apart from this, the party also registered its strong presence in these urban areas by winning 3 seats each in Karimnagar and Mahabubnagar Municipal Corporations and 2 seats in Nalgonda Municipal Corporation.
These election results clearly indicate that AIMIM is gradually moving out of its traditional stronghold and strengthening its base in different parts of Telangana. The party’s success, especially in the municipalities of North and West Telangana, shows that AIMIM is getting increasing support at the local level.
Overall, the victory of 47 seats in municipalities, 22 seats in municipal corporations and a total of 69 seats is being considered an important political achievement for AIMIM. This performance will further strengthen the confidence of the party for the upcoming assembly and other local elections.
