There is big news for the candidates dreaming of becoming government teachers in Jharkhand. Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has announced to start the recruitment process for 355 posts of lecturers in polytechnic colleges of the state. This appointment will be made under the Higher and Technical Education Department. Interested candidates can apply online till 12 March 2026. Candidates can apply through the steps given here.

To become a lecturer, it is necessary for you to complete your studies in the relevant subject. Also, based on your marks you will be given additional marks. If you have 60% or more marks in graduation then you will get 15 marks.

If your score is between 55% to 60% then you will get 10 marks. If it is between 45% to 55% then you will get 5 marks. If you have 60% or more in post graduation then you will get 20 marks. If you have between 55% to 60% then you will get 15 marks. For reserved category, one can get 15 marks even above 50%. M.Phil. By doing this you will get maximum 7 marks.

You will get 15 marks after doing PhD. If you have passed NET/JET or JRF then you will get 10 to 15 marks. According to GATE score, engineering students will get 7.5 to 15 marks. Separate marks will also be given for research paper, teaching experience and awards. There are 20 marks fixed for the interview.

age limit

The minimum age of the applying candidates has been fixed at 21 years and maximum age at 40 years. Age relaxation will be given to reserved categories as per the rules of the state government.

In the selection process for this recruitment, firstly the numbers of your studies and achievements will be added. Then the written examination or GATE/NET score will be considered. Finally there will be an interview.

How much application fee will have to be paid?

For this recruitment, a fee of Rs 600 will be charged for General, OBC and EBC categories, Rs 150 for SC/ST candidates of Jharkhand, whereas candidates with more than 40% disability will not have to pay the fee.

You will get this much salary

The salary of selected candidates will be in the range of Rs 56,100 to Rs 1,77,500 under level 9A. Apart from this, dearness allowance, traveling allowance and other government facilities will also be available. For more details, candidates can take help of the official website.
