Villagers protested fiercely after the alleged rape and murder of a woman in Nawada district of Bihar. After this incident that happened on Monday night, angry villagers blocked the road and accused the police of taking away the body silently. The police is investigating the matter. When the police tried to clear the jam, the villagers became furious and tried to hit the station in-charge with a brick.

This incident took place in Samraitha village of Roh block. The deceased has been identified as Anita Devi, 40-year-old wife of Mahendra Yadav. On Monday night, Anita Devi had left home to water the fields when this incident was carried out.

Serious allegations against police

After the police took away the body, the villagers became more furious and blocked the road. The elder son of the deceased made serious allegations against the police and said that the police silently removed his mother’s body from the spot. He told that his mother had no clothes on her body and she was raped and then murdered. The son also told that his father lives outside and studies in Patna. After getting information about the incident at night, they reached Nawada, but at around 4 in the morning the police took away the body.

Villagers protest continues

On this incident, DSP Hulas Kumar said that the entire matter is being investigated. The police have taken the body of the deceased into their custody and are taking further action. Police from several police stations are present at the spot and are trying to clear the jam. People are fiercely protesting against the administration that reached the spot. There is tremendous resentment among the people against the police station in-charge.
